Straw, an ancient fiber of natural origin, used since the 18th century in Tuscan manufacturing for the production of hats and bags made famous all over the world as valuable objects. For the development of this capsule MATI collaborated with the Florentine Memar, a company founded in 1903 specializing in the packaging of straw accessories, which has been operating for three generations, handing down the experience that has made this manufacturing tradition a flagship of Italian craftsmanship. Braids and colors have been carefully chosen from the company's warehouse, giving new life to materials in excellent condition that often lie unused, creating what is commonly referred to as deadstock.
